Pack Tactics – Launch Day Devlog & Hotfix Update 🐾🎉
Hey everyone!
It’s Launch Day!!
After months of design, testing, tweaking, and more than a few late nights, Pack Tactics is finally out in the wild! We couldn't be more excited (and a little nervous!) to see how you all play, break, and strategize with your animal allies. Thank you so much to everyone who's supported us along the way — your feedback and enthusiasm have been our compass.
Now, let’s talk about the first hotfix, which just went live:
🛠️ Hotfix 1.0.1 – Clarifying the Hunt + Turtle Rework
🔍 Hunt Ability Text Added
We’ve added a proper description to the Hunt ability, which now reads:
“Remove one from your den and gain its threat and courage.”
This should make the ability much clearer during play — no more guessing what’s going to happen when an animal goes hunting. Thanks to everyone who reported the confusion!
🐢 Turtle Rework + New Egg Mechanic
We’ve redesigned how Turtle works to make reptiles a bit more exciting to build around. Instead of its old ability (which buffed the courage of animals), Turtle now lays eggs, which hatch into a random scaled animal. That means you might hatch an alligator, a newt, or even another turtle. 🐊🦎
This change should breathe new life into reptile synergy, making it easier to amass a cold blooded horde.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on balance and bugs over the next few days as players dig into the meta, and we’re excited to see what weird and wonderful builds you all come up with.
